This project was born from observing how modern life has become excessively centered on consumption, turning cities into products rather than places of identity. Through the creation of a photobook, I have explored how Barcelona is no longer a city for its inhabitants and has instead become a showcase for tourism and global business, forgetting the humanity of those who live here and the identity of the city itself. This leads us to stop feeling that the city belongs to us.
With this book, I aim to inspire reflection and the desire for change. My intention is not to criticize gentrification from a political perspective, but to explore it through everyday emotion.
