BLUST, Maintenance Unit
BLUST is a medical device made of a Transport Unit and a Charging Unit. It is designed to transport blood samples in remote regions of Africa, mainly in Sudan, Niger, the D.R. Congo, and the Central African Republic. Blood samples must travel hundreds of kilometers through wild terrain under extreme conditions, maintaining a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Frequent lack of stable electricity impedes the generation of cold, causing the samples to become unusable. Maintenance Unit keeps samples at an optimal temperature, ensuring integrity from collection to analysis. It maintains temperatures below 8°C for 15 hours using advanced materials, ensuring reliability in challenging conditions.
