Brou

Brou reactivates Can Teixidor, a 13th–14th century farmhouse in Pineda de Mar, as a public gastronomic facility. The farmhouse once functioned as a system where life and work were organized around food. When agricultural work disappeared with industrialization, life disappeared as well, and the building was left empty.

Current conversions into hotels or rural tourism facilities replace that system with another one disconnected from the place. This project proposes the opposite approach: to reactivate the farmhouse through what originally gave it meaning—food as a collective framework—and return it to the community as the public nucleus it had been for centuries.
