ELARA: The customization service for knitted garments

The project ‘More than Human’ Textile and Fashion Design has been initiated through Elisava Research, within the framework of the European project Transitions, in collaboration with Kniterate. It is based on the creation of a personalized clothing service that offers customization of garments through predefined bases of patterns, alongside with customizable materials, colors, and textures. It addresses the market gap for truly personalized garments through the true selection of their shape rather than just small details. In addition to that, it places a strong emphasis on sustainability through Kniterate’s advanced knitting technology, which reduces waste and uses locally sourced materials.
