Escultal

EsculTal is a home office storage system developed in collaboration with Kettal. The project starts from a concrete premise: designing an object that functions simultaneously as a work piece of furniture and a sculptural piece, without either condition diminishing the other. It combines aluminum and wood, featuring three trays angled at 40 degrees, sized to store common workspace items.
The methodology included a research phase using generative AI to explore whether it accelerates product design ideation. The final design resulted from sketches, 17 iterations in Rhinoceros 3D, and four prototyping phases, with ongoing feedback from Kettal's design team and an Elisava tutor.
