L’HERÈNCIA, sabràs cuidar-la?

The personal need to process the grief of losing my grandmother, Carme, is the starting point of this project. Conceived as a physical and conceptual refuge, it preserves her memory through design by bringing together past and present within a single object.
Her jewelry and analogue photographs are transformed into a living legacy without altering the original pieces. The project focuses on revealing the essence of these objects and the memories they carry.
Through a handcrafted thermoforming process, each jewel is encapsulated within a transparent membrane. The material embraces and protects the piece, while its imperfections evoke a sense of life that counteracts absence.
