Participatory Identity System for The Met
This project explores the decentralization of the visual identity of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) through participatory graphic design. Collaborating with the Rhode Island School of Design, the initiative aims to transform The Met’s static, elitist image into a dynamic and inclusive representation. Involving local artists, communities, frequent visitors, and online audiences, the project seeks to create temporary graphic identities reflecting New York City's cultural diversity. These images would be generated through a participatory and democratic system and applied throughout the museum to enhance its relevance and connection with both local and global communities.
